Sanibel Island is home to the J. N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge. I suppose all sorts of estuarine critters could find sanctuary here, but the main draw is shore birds. I am pretty well accustomed to storks, cranes, herons, egrets, ibis, and spoonbills in any body of water but it is a real treat to see a large congregation of them set against the sort of sunset we had last night.

This was aviary clever post. Hawkward at times, but a very pheasant read overall. I thought about going out on a limb to come up with something funny to tweet back, but then decided owl pass. I don't want to egret it later. Nor do I want to birden you with some horwrendous comment that might ruffle your feathers. There's just no talon what fowl thing I might say. OK, your tern, if you can sparrow a few seconds.

I sure am glad you finally got the sunset we've been waiting for at the beach! Gorgeous, simply gorgeous... Wish I could have been there to enjoy it.

Absolutely top-notch photography, Jeemer. This Jeff guy has way too much time on his hands. Lovin' it!
