I think we may have mentioned that we like rodents. We really like marmots. For those of you who have never lived in or visited the alpine tundra, marmots are big furry ground squirrels that inhabit the rocky crags above the tree line out west. Back east they live down lower and go by they name of Punxatawny Phil. Different species, but to look at them you would not see much difference. Anyway, we love the way they just hang out on the rocks, often overlooking a lovely view and seeming to take it all in and appreciate it. They always look pensive. And they seem to love to be photographed.
