But Washington D.C. defies planning. Maybe not for the average family on a one-week vacation, but definitely for a family like us, homeschooling and seeking to really enjoy it all in depth, not just hit the highlights. We knew what we wanted to do, but there was no way to know how much time we would really need to do it well. So this is kind of how our ten days looked:
1. Go to some gallery/museum/government thing to see a famous painting/artifact/legislative proceeding.
2. Find what we were after and also more paintings/artifacts/debate about H.R. 3350.
3. Decide we need to go back the next day to said gallery/museum/government thing.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 and probably 4.
Or trying to eat just one Pringle.
