Welcome to Canada, eh! When we arrived here in Vancouver, we decided the best way to see the sights was to take the hop on, hop off trolley tour. I was quite excited since I’ve never been on a trolley before.
So, if my memory serves, the bridge was “built” by an elderly couple who lived in a residential area on the other side of the water. They didn’t actually build it, but they paid for it. It costed about six million dollars, which, back in the day, was a lot of money. The bridge was for the people who lived in the residential area to get across the water.
