As soon as we pulled into the Dutch Treat Campground, they pulled in right behind us, having arrived a bit earlier but just returned from the grocery store. The kids all bounded out of the truck for hugs and I don't think we were anywhere near set up in our site before they all disappeared somewhere. This is the nature of our times together.
I should mention that Spider Ma'am is small, about the size of a grain of rice. Much larger and I would have shown her the door (or a shoe) in Big Sky Country.
Overall we are finding Michigan quite beautiful and I can see why people rave about the Great Lakes area, but we are looking forward to heading south for some warmer, hopefully sunnier weather this weekend. Meanwhile, we have a couple more days in which to make some snickerdoodles and drink hot cider and go experience Dutch Delight Bakery. Thursday's forecast is for rain most of the day, so I could possibly polish off two more books. And a lot of cookies.
Happy Halloween!
