We got in after dark, and for some reason, once I hit "camping mental mode," anytime after the sun is gone feels about like midnight. So we worked for as long as we could stand it then hit the hay.
Yesterday we drove to the bustling metropolis of Mayo, Florida to move into the Bob T. We had actually unloaded and started the move-in process last Wednesday, but that was mostly shuffling boxes and making sure everything worked properly. I'm going to apologize now for a very boring post. My humor tank is drained. That happens when I get dehydrated. We got in after dark, and for some reason, once I hit "camping mental mode," anytime after the sun is gone feels about like midnight. So we worked for as long as we could stand it then hit the hay. Thankfully, we are not actually sleeping on hay. We have a cushy queen bed with our down comforter and great sheets. This trailer is quiet and isn't putting out a bunch of new carpet/new wood/new flooring smells. The only thing I heard all night was Patches running in the wheel and the heater kicking on. Yes, it was cold enough for that. The heater, I mean. We worked hard all day. I had gone to bed last night thinking, "There is not a dog's chance in Chinatown that all this stuff is gonna fit." And I was right. But that's not a bad thing because, 1. I want less stuff anyway, and 2. somehow a lot of the "see you next year" boxes got sent up here. I about did the White Girl Jig of Joy every time I opened one that was supposed to go back to Orlando. My only concern was not finding my Kitchen Aid mixer and utensils. We took a late lunch break and did what you should always do when in a very small southern town: eat at the local diner. These places are the bomb dot net because mac and cheese counts as a vegetable and the dessert items at the salad bar outnumber the actual salad fixings. I'm not hatin' -- the banana pudding was probably the best I've had. After more unpacking (found the Kitchen Aid!) we cooked our first dinner: quinoa and black bean burgers with corn (yes, Kelli, I said it) and found out the smoke detector works well (I meant to do that). Kevin turned on the faux propane fireplace and Kristin declared, "That's really cheesy." Tomorrow we head to Orlando for a few days and I will spend most of my time reorganizing what has been put away and visiting Stuffmart (Target), IKEA, Bed Bath & Beyond, and Publix for all the things that will finish off the pimping of the Bob T. That will make for another extraordinarily boring post. Perhaps I will spare you :-) We will be at Turkey Lake Park. If you're in Orlando, come see us. We'll make s'mores.

Can't wait to see all of you. Give us an idea of your schedule so we can make plans. We have two comfy full-size beds and three full-size sofas (not sofa-beds). Would this be a nice break without having to set-up?
