Newberry National Monument? They’ve got new berries? And they made a national monument out of it? Turns out it’s actually called Newberry National Volcanic Monument. And they’ve got obsidian! We saw obsidian back in Mono lake and since we liked it so much, we decided to introduce the Boyinks to the rock that we came to love. (I’m not in many of these pictures; there was just so many things to take pictures of so I didn’t have time to set up my tripod and hop into the shot) We also checked out a Cinder Cone volcano and an old 1 mile long underground lava tube. -Collared Boar

Remember, you were posing quite nicely in the volcano tubes. And photobomb.

I have been missing Collard Bear's posts. Was thinking you were just cooling it for a bit. Now I see I was all wrong. Great shots of some beautiful places, waterfalls, rocks and tide pools, too. Thanks Collard Bear, you are an amazing photographer...got that tripod thing down!!
