The Tillamook Cheese Factory is just one of things you just gotta do. How often are you going to have the chance to check out a cheese factory? Not very often.
Here’s the story behind this boat. The first boat built and launched in Oregon was the Morning Star, which carried cream and other goods to various ports and stuff. Unfortunately, it was wrecked in the Straight of Juan de Fooka if I remember correctly. So they built a second one that actually carried Tillamook cheese. And, according to the sign, they ended up taking that same boat, and putting it on the lawn in front of the factory. Niiiiice!
